Reluctant sale of VW Golf, 2003 GTI 5 door. This is not to be mistaken for the ordinary GTI, this was the last of line 2003 edition with the AUQ engine. The normal GTi is either 115 or 150 BHP, this engine is the same engine that used in the Anniversary edition and has an output of 180 BHP. This is a very special car indeed given the specification. This has been my pride and joy for the last 5 years. This is the 6 speed manual version that comes with factory fitted Sat nav, Cruise control along with Heated black recaro leathers. You will not find another with this spec which makes the car rare. Everything works as it should. Recent maintenance includes new genuine steering rack, timing belt / water pump, new rear calipers, discs and pads, upgraded suspension tastefully lowered on H&R Springs matched with Audi TT cup wheels in good condition, 2 new Bridgestone tyres on front, rear has Michelins. The car is backed up with Full service history, part main dealer part independent specialists. In my experience, I have found that the specialists have better knowledge of these older engines and than main dealers. Last major service in 2025. Other features include CD changer, P/Steering, E/Windows, Genuine original VW spare key and Full Service history, partly main dealer and the rest independent. All receipts available in history file. The body work/ paint work on the car is good for a 23 year old vehicle. There are some slight markings on the front and rear bumper which I will have professionally repaired if I get the asking price. This is a genuine car and I would like buyers to see her for what she is and decide whether they want to get those rectified themselves in which case I would be open to negotiation. This car is ULEZ Compliant which makes it even more desirable. No time wasters or low ballers please. I am not interested in swaps either. Lastly if the price is too high then it's not for you.
