Description
This is my beautiful 1970 Jaguar E Type Series II Roadster 4.2, which I have owned since 2018 and is in excellent condition inside and out. Beneath the sleek bonnet lies a legendary 4.2 litre, six-cylinder engine, paired with a smooth manual transmission. The car runs and drives beautifully.
This stunning classic is finished in it's original colour scheme of signal red, perfectly complemented by luxurious black leather upholstery with an unmarked black hood, chrome wire wheels, stainless exhaust and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. The chrome is in excellent condition too, as are the tyres and chrome wire wheels. This is a really lovely car and a real head turner wherever it goes.
It has had just 6 owners from new, with just the two owners since 1987 and has covered just 20000 miles. Chassis 1R1628 is an original UK right hand drive car, first registered 7th May 1970.
The car has under gone an extensive restoration some years ago which is fully documented, beautifully chronicled in a photographic album that accompanies the car, alongside a rich history folder containing Jaguar Heritage certification, maintenance and service handbook and service invoices.
It comes with a collection of bills from the 1987-2018 ownership, and some old MOT's back to 1985.
This car been permanently garaged with the current owner and less than 2000 miles have been covered in the last 8 years. An MOT test certificate has been issued in February 2026.
Viewings and inspections are very welcome. Please do not hesitate to contact us to arrange a viewing and test drive, you will not be disappointed, as it drives and runs excellently.
