Description

Mazda Red or faded pink if you're looking at the bonnet and wings. It polishes up well, I've just never kept on top of it. Bought during lockdown. Spent weekends with a group of mates who all own NAs doing the work ourselves, carefully. Coilovers, alloys, steering wheel, stereo, alternator, clutch slave all fitted by enthusiasts who care. Then I moved house, moved in with my partner, and Jekyll has been sitting ever since. Cleaned up, MOT'd to move, sat again. That's not what an MX5 deserves. Modifications: - Meister R coilovers, height and damping adjustable properly lowered, not slammed - White JR alloys on low-mileage Toyo Proxes - Aftermarket steering wheel (Momo boss) - Sony Bluetooth stereo - Bonnet strut brace (pre-ownership) - Remote central locking and immobiliser (pre-ownership) - BRG hard top with heated rear screen included - Alternator and clutch slave cylinder replaced The honest bit (please read before enquiring): - Bonnet and wings faded. Polishes up well but never maintained. Photos are current and unpolished, and the camera does some heavy lifting. - Rust hole in front nearside wing believed cosmetic only, bolt-on panel. - Sills previously cut and welded. Arches now bubbling. Photos included. - Soft top ripped near window seals, leaked occasionally passenger side on a hard right. Mostly watertight but mostly is doing some work in that sentence. - Hard top rear screen has lines and plug never connected, untested. - Passenger window inoperative cause unknown. - Passenger speaker intermittent strong opinions about road surfaces. - Phantom battery drain flat after a week without use, I'd imagine immobiliser. Let me know before viewing and I'll have her ready. Original wheels, tonneau cover and misc extras available if wanted. Full MOT history publicly available worth a look. Jekyll isn't a buy-and-forget car. She's a hobby car with a solid foundation, good bones, and everything wrong with her listed above. She needs someone who'll care about her as much as I did just actually use her too. MOT until 20 Oct 2026 | 105,642 miles | 1996
