Morgan Plus 4 Thank you for taking a look at this darling of a Morgan Plus 4. The car really is in fabulous condition for its age. Please see pics. The Scottish leather is delightful, glorious in green against the ivory paint. The wool carpets ( smell like new). The car has been enjoyed and so has done a few more miles than most (some say better for it). Happily there is zero corrosion on the all important galvanised ( as well as undersealed) steel chassis. The key maintenance task of such miles is the need to sort the kingpins which have been renewed along with other suspension upgrades (see mot history) and so it drives lovely, just like it should. It is powered by the Ford Duratec 2.0 ltr engine, very smooth at low revs, yet eager in the 4-6k rev band. This version regarded by many as a nice sweet spot in the Morgan range due to its power/ weight ratio, reliability, ease of parts/ maintenance. The car has an excellent service history and sensible upgrades, including : SPAX adjustable shocks, alloy radiator, full length chromed bumper bars ( IMHO these look thebest), enhanced wiper blades, spots and those very eye catching gold spinners ( original octagonal caps included) . To me it looks, just right, as a classic Morgan, especially with the lovely walnut dash, brushed metal instrument panel in the centre and Motolita steering wheel. I have owned since last July and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The car was fully serviced by dealer at time of purchase. I had to sort out minor issues such as roof seals, broken washer pipes and tightening quite a few screws! I quickly became very confident in car's reliability and performance. The car is very planted, strong, very happy any speed up to 80mph and so a run down to the Algarve (where the car has spent the winter and will return from in April) was no problem. Extras also included in the sale : Short Tonneau/Hood cover ( seen on the pics), side windows like new, a full cockpit cover with centre zip and also a full overall ( indoor cover) . The car during my ownership has always been garaged, Judging by the condition of the carpets floor boards underneath. I doubt it has ever got wet. Due to the miles, likely to be the lowest cost, best value, Duratec based plus 4 available, with key maintenance on the kingpins sorted as well as other nice upgrades included. New owner really can be 100% confident to just jump in and enjoy a traditional Morgan experience without worry.
