This car was only used as an airport runner, going from Wolverhampton to London and back every week. Unfortunately the clutch failed on the way to London, it was recovered back to the garage, diagnosed as clutch failure, as the customer could not be without a car he simply bought another vehicle and asked the garage to dispose of this. At this point, the garage owner rang us, as he always does to come and remove the vehicle at a fair price. When we inspected it we found it was a really nice example and was well worth saving. We went ahead and replaced the clutch, gave it a new timing belt and water pump for peace of mind, replaced the rocker cover and gasket, changed all the oils and filters, sent it for a new mot, gave it a full valet including machine polish and wet vac and is now ready to go. This starts, goes and stops as it should with no issue. The 1.6 tdci engine is well known for its reliability and economy but is not lacking in power. Being low insurance group, returning 40+ mpg driven right and only 30 pound a year to tax, this is very low cost motoring, ideal in these times. We can take a part ex, but only at trade value.
