The car starts, drives and runs well, and the automatic gearbox shifts smoothly. It currently has 154,802 miles and comes with long MOT until November 2026 and tax until May 2026. The car has part service history with the majority carried out by Volkswagen up to 2022. This would make a good cheap runaround, first car, or ideal for someone mechanically minded looking for a project. Known issues (reflected in price): ABS pump likely needs replacing (ABS warning light) Boot wiring loom issue - boot release button and rear wiper not currently working (common Golf wiring issue) Nearside front driveshaft CV boot deteriorated (noted on MOT) Small front oil leak advisory on MOT Cosmetic condition: As expected for the age and mileage there are some scratches, paint wear and marks on the bodywork, particularly around the front grille area and rear bumper (see photos).
