Up until 2017, the car moved between him and his son, and briefly to a friend, before returning to him for the final time. Then came 2017 me, an envelope full of cash, and butterflies in my stomach. We went for a test drive, came back, shook hands, and I handed over the envelope to the last penny. I didn't even consider negotiating; I wasn't going to risk losing the car. I couldn't collect it that same day, so I returned the next morning. There she was washed, polished, and waiting on the driveway under the sun. That's when it all began. Over the years, I have maintained the car religiously, investing heavily in preventative maintenance to ensure a long and enjoyable ownership. Well, the plan worked and I don't regret a single decision or penny spent - it took me everywhere I wanted to go, both here and in Europe. One thing was the same everywhere I went, regardless of country - people become CHILDISH when they see the car! Some jump, shout and poke their friends to forget what they're doing and just look at the car, others were more subtle, just admiring the car from the sidewalk with a light smile and sometimes even taking the phone out for a quick snap of the car.
