Description
It is not about whether you want this car. Are you worthy of it? This car is barely half-way done. It will still be passing its MOT when your mate's new Tesla is being sold for scrap. It was made in the era of Nokia 3310's, Friends and Eminem. Let it take you back to a time when things were simpler & built to last. To a time when manufacturers wanted to make things they could be proud of. When they used satisfying knobs, switches and buttons over a massive, stupid I-Pad in the middle.
Few minor issues:
- The aircon went years ago, I had it re-gassed but it lasted a few days and went again.
- Some of the electronics are 'playful'. Sometimes the windows don't work. There was a time when the rear wind-screen wiper randomly came on and wouldn't turn off but it's settled down now. It was probably trying to tell me something.
- Pretty sure lichen is growing on it. Considering that is one of the hardiest organisms it makes sense its found its home on the hardiest machine mankind has made.
- The dashboard light doesn't light up behind the speedometer so you can't see exactly how fast you're going at night. Like driving through feel alone. I kind of like it but realistically it does need repairing.
Other than that it's a bit rusty on the underside but basically fine. A lot of the random old age issues cropped up last year so reckon other than a bit of welding it's ready for another 10 years easy.
The only reason I am selling this bad boy is because my partner thinks it's unsafe to drive our kids around in a car that has isofix adaptors we brought from E-Bay. If it was up to me I would get the undercarriage sealed, change the oils then drive it to 300,000 miles & let it fulfil its destiny.
