P485 GJB was built in December 1996 and was then supplied to H. May Ford of Ascot in February 1997. Since then, the car has passed through a handful of careful, enthusiast owners who have cherished and maintained the car's condition. I purchased the Ka after wanting a clean, low mileage and early MK1. I have driven around 2000 miles in the car without fault and have thoroughly enjoyed using it yet I feel it is time to let a new owner enjoy it more regularly than I can as I have other classic cars which also need regular usage. The car runs and drives beautifully as it has recently received an extensive overhaul of the engine (invoice can be seen documented in paperwork) and gearbox as well as various suspension parts including 2x rear shock absorbers. 4x new tyres were also fitted less than 500 miles ago. As for the bodywork, the Ka is exceptionally clean with no rust issues. The sills are in immaculate condition and the infamous filler cap is equally as perfect. Interior wise it's a very similar story; totally time warp. Everything in the interior works as it should. There is a raft of paperwork for the car including service history and period correct brochures. The car is incredibly original throughout including original dealer plates, tax disc holder and H. May of Ascot supplied floor mats. It also has its original red master key. Please note: the car has developed a central locking fault.
