The Ceed is a new estate that is all about visual impact, thanks to Kia's new design chief who came from Audi, a company that definitely knows a thing or two about style. From the outside, 16-inch alloy wheels give the car a real sense of presence. Cossetting seats, with height adjustment, hug you and you can make sure you are comfortable whether you're nipping to the shops or driving hundreds of miles. It's spacious too; there's plenty of space up front and there's enough room in the back for three adults. Wouldn't you much rather have one of these instead of a Renault Megane a Ford Focus or, indeed, a Hyundai i30 sat on your drive? On the move the Ceed is assured and stable through corners, with plenty of grip. The ride is comfortable with forgiving suspension that dismisses small road irregularities well. On top of that, it's impressively refined in terms of road and wind noise, being generally smooth and quiet. In fabulous condition inside and out, the bodywork is arrow straight and the cool looking alloys, unmarked.
