VW Polo for spares or repair. We have owned this car since 2011. It's been very reliable, but now a number of issues have cropped up so we've made the decision to part with the car rather than pay for the repair and new MOT. The MOT runs out on 10 April 2026. The main issues are the timing chain which is rattly and the engine stalls when idle, the dashboard has an intermittent electrical fault (whereby dials drop to zero, and the lights (dashboard lights) go out too). The central locking was a aftermarket addition but doesn't now work. The rear offside door has a loose glass and panel where the paint has peeled off. The dashboard has some plasticisation, and damaged cup holder. There's a small dent just behind the rear door. The drivers seat is in poor condition - hence seat covers.
