Description

The car was main dealer serviced until 2008, with independent specialists thereafter. A full folder of documentation is available. During my ownership, I have proactively addressed the significant maintenance items associated with R170s of this age: Engine "Reset": New head gasket, water pump, and radiator housing (August 2025). Fresh Service: Last full service carried out in December 2025 at 56,750 miles (less than 300 miles ago). Roof System: The electric roof operates well, transforming the car in seconds. The roof was last serviced in 2024. Tyres have ~8mm tread (all replaced at 53.5k miles). Brakes have strong remaining life with no immediate requirements. Exterior Finished in Linarite Blue Metallica rare color that stands out from common silver examples. The body is in excellent condition for its age and sits perfectly on upgraded 18" multi-spoke alloy wheels. Interior Features two-tone black and beige leather. While there is some typical age-related wear to the dashboard coating and gear stick, the cabin is clean and functional. Upgraded with a 7" Apple CarPlay / Android Auto touchscreen unit which folds in when not in use, providing modern navigation, hands-free calls and a punchy sound through the high-output factory speakers. (The original factory stereo is included for the next owner should they wish to return to standard). Inclusions: SLK mats, original stereo, detachable wind mesh, first aid pouch, spare wheel, heavy duty car cover, Apple CarPlay unit, interior colour matched touch-up paint MOT Notes The car recently passed its MOT with a few minor advisories: Tyres: A nail noted in the offside rear has been professionally repaired. Brakes: A slight fluctuation was noted in the front service brake; however, it remains well within safety limits and performs perfectly in daily driving. Suspension: Surface corrosion was noted on the rear mounting brackets. The MOT confirms "strength is not seriously reduced," but I have mentioned this for full transparency so the new owner can apply a treatment like Lanoguard to preserve the metal for the long term. Advice from the recent service is that these are not urgent and may never require attention. Inspection welcomed See more of this car, including including roof operation, a cold start, the underbody, sound system and more on Youtube:
