The car is spot on and drives exactly as it should. The 2.5 diesel engine pulls strongly, the gearbox changes smoothly, and it's a very comfortable cruiser. These cars are known for being solid and reliable when looked after. THE GOOD: Starts first time, no warning lights bar a common wheel sensor, engine and gearbox are strong, four new tyres all round in 2024, comfortable smooth drive, good on fuel for a big car, spacious with solid build quality (clean interior still smells like a BMW), V5 present, MOT certificates present stretching back to 2010 (further history available online via the GOV website), 4 keys, brand new Yuasa HSB019 Silver 12V car battery with 5 year guarantee (16/01/2026), and all BMW recalls completed, including driver airbag in 2022. THE BAD: Paintwork isn't great; presentable from a distance but certainly not a show car, remote central locking does not work, but all keys operate the central locking manually, it's ideal for someone who wants a mechanically strong car and isn't too bothered about cosmetics, or for someone handy who wants to tidy up the paintwork.
