Description
I've owned this car since November 2024 and I'm the second owner
It's has a full Jaguar service history upto 61880 miles with Harwoods Jaguar in Chichester (I have a printout of this service history).
It had 80700 miles on the clock when I took ownership.
The oil & filter were changed at 81156 miles, this was part of my sales agreement with Prestige cars (who I purchased the car from).
Since I've owned the vehicle it has had regular oil filter changes (as with all my cars I own they have an oil & filter change at every MOT without fail)
These vehicles can suffer with timing chain issues (mainly down to Jaguars ridiculous lengthy servicing schedule), so for my own peace of mind I decided to replace the timing chains. This was carried out by a Jaguar specialist at a cost of 2401 and was completed in May 2025. When I collected the car (after I had paid them), they informed me that the engine was breathing heavy which could be a sign of future engine failure.
The garage I use for all my MOT's & servicing work noticed an oil leak and on checking the oil level found it to be dangerously low.
I returned to the Jaguar specialist and they informed me that one of the gaskets they had replaced had failed, and so replaced it foc
Then in August 2025 the engine packed up and has now been replaced with a reconditioned engine. My usual garage carried out the work of replacing the engine informed that when they drained my old engine the oil was like glitter, which suggests that this may have been as a result of the oil leak from failed gasket.
The engine replacement cost me 6077 at 87083 miles, along with the engine the turbo was replaced, glow plugs, flywheel bolts, fuel filter (genuine) & front brakes pads (as it was noted they were low). All other ancillaries were cleaned and flushed.
About 4 to 5 weeks ago I took the car back to garage as per their request so they could carry out a check for any leaks, and all was fine. So whilst they had it I had the oil & filter changed and had ZX1 Oil treatment added
I myself replaced the air filter at 86881 miles
Bosch cam shaft sensor was replaced at 83624 miles
The car runs smoothly and pulls strong with smooth gear changes (especially in dynamic sport mode) and although showing just over 89000 mile the new owner basically will have a new car
Good tyres all round
2 x key fobs
Owners wallet
The osr door has just stopped working (can be opened from inside)
Payment for car via BANK transfer only (NO CASH) sold as seen
