Description
'OSU 167' was
originally manufactured in 1958 and exported to South Africa. It was
repatriated back to the UK in 1989 and on its return to the UK the
bodywork was restored to its current colour of Gun Metal Grey
metallic. Having spent the majority of its life in a warmer climate,
the car required minimal repair as the body was found to be in good
overall condition. 'OSU 167' was then owned from 2006 to 2016 and the
next owner until recently. Since coming back to the UK it has
benifited from sensible upgrades. These include: power steering,
stainless exhaust system, Koni shock absorbers, 3.8 S rear springs,
Cooper Craft brakes, Harvey Bailey front anti roll bar, Facet fuel
pump, Tremec 5-speed gearbox, bucket seat conversion re-trimmed in
Cranberry hide, Mota Lita steering wheel, aluminium radiator cowl and
electronic ignition. The improvements made have resulted in a car that
drives extremely well and has proved to be very reliable. Last month
it had a recommission for a drive from Suffolk to Coventry which it
did in style with no issues.
