Stunning E39 520i SE, with a five-speed manual box. ULEZ compliant. After purchasing from the original owner, I have spent a lot of time (and money) to get it in a rather presentable condition, and to what it is looking like right now. It has spent all of its life in Torquay since supplied new by BMW Torbay, up until I acquired the car and is in London now. The car is all round absolutely rust-free and you will have to look very hard to find imperfections around the car. I am happy to get it up on a jack to show underneath and around all of the E39's common weak points to show just how clean this example is. It's in really healthy condition, both mechanically and cosmetically. Inline-six engine runs incredibly smooth and idles nicely, as is the transmission, it goes through the gears nicely and actually elevates the E39's driving experience I would say, as opposed to the common five-speed automatic. Suspension is nice and comfortable, even for today's standards. The car has had a service at the time of recent MOT in February of 2026. A new battery fitted in July 2025. A comprehensive amount of service history. Two keys. Original owners manual book pack. Next MOT due Feb 2027. One previous owner (I am the second). Low mileage at around 45k but this will increase as I am still using it daily for commute, until the point of sale. I have done the following during my ownership: - Full repaint/respray with original BMW colour code, and has been done to a very good standard. This was due to the old paint being heavily oxidised and tired all around, and only way of reviving it was with new paint. - Front and rear brake pads and discs replaced with Febi Bilstein sets. -Old brake/clutch fluid flushed, and brake lines bled. New brake/clutch fluid. - Refurbished original Hella headlights (with new lenses and adjusters) purchased and fitted. - A new set of front fog light units. - New Osram dipped beam headlight bulbs. Some other small bits done but I can truthfully say that I have put a genuine effort to get this low-mileage example to a good standard, coming from enthusiasm and passion. The E39 is a beautiful car and looks great, even today. Something about these old BMWs that are just right, and this is coming from a Lexus enthusiast.
