Good points:
Recent full service from the local Volvo specialist. They also installed a brand new camblet kit that should last the next 100k miles. Brand new set of tyres on the back.
Bad points:
Sold with no MOT as spares and repairs as the rear subframe is cracked beyond repair so cannot be welded and requires replacement.
New part is no longer available from Volvo, but it is possible to get from breakers if in stock for about 250 or so.
The battery does not hold charge so will need a new one, but it jump starts and drives fine. Still, in current condition, it should not be driven and needs to be towed away by the buyer.
Also, i have no idea if its still on its original clutch, gearbox, turbo, etc so i just wanted to be fully transparent about your possible major expenses in the future as its done 200k miles. Then again, these engines are legendary, so i hope theres plenty of life in the car for you once its fixed. Or you may decide to break it, in which case the engine alone should be well worth the asking price.
Lastly, for full transparency, the DPF plays up sometimes but seems fine after clearing fault codes and a good motorway run. Also, every now and again it will stall when coming to a stop. Theres also a small rip in the passenger seat and a scuff on the nearside of the front bumper.
No reasonable offer will be refused, but if you pay the asking price, which is still the cheapest V70 around, I can throw in the detachable tow bar, spare wheel kit and the large roofbox!
Thanks for looking!
