For sale is our family car the Diamond Black Mk4 golf GTI 5 door 1.8t AUQ 180 BHP 6 speed manual car. We have owned this car for 9 years now since 2014 and have regularly serviced it and maintained it. Its just passed it MOT, drives well and has plenty of grunt to keep up with far more modern cars. Its an evaluating asset that gets looks of appreciation on the road as well as being euro four compliant so does not attract the various congestion fees in UK cities. The Maintance this car has had could take up pages and pages some of the jobs done recently are new rear brake lines, new brake pads and discs at the rear as well as new bearings, i removed cleaned and restoted the rear beam fully, the underside has been cleaned and undersealed, I recently removed the interior cleaned it and put it all back (please se photo) its had a new clutch and flywheel, the headliner was done a few years back etc, the list goes on and on, if you come to see the car I will happily tell you what I have done to it from the back to the front. Worth noting iam a fully qualified mechanic. The timing belt and water pump were done at 132k miles and it gets an oil and filter change every year. On a motorway run down to london it will get upto 45mpg and around town i guess thats down to about 30 to 35mpg. The bodywork is tidy but the car is 23 years old so there are a few bumps and scratches here and there. Some things we love about this car: The one piece front lights. The Recaro seats. The blue and red interior dials etc at night. The space in the back and boot. The versatility of the 1.8t engine that pulls well all the way through the rev range. It has a performance exhaust so makes a nice sound as does the turbo. Its lowered 35mm and with the 18 inch wheels hugs the arches very well and looks great. We have decided to sell this car as it does not get enough use as we have had other cars for a year now. The car has two keys and plenty of paperwork and history as show in one of the photos.
