Description
The Ford C-Max is one of those quietly clever cars that never feels the need to shout about its abilities, yet consistently proves itself to be rather good at almost everything.
This particular example, finished in black and having covered just 15,800 miles, is barely run in. Under the bonnet sits Ford?s 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine, which, despite its modest size, is a surprisingly willing little thing?perfectly capable of moving the C-Max along with a sense of ease that defies its cubic capacity. It?s efficient too, which means fewer painful moments at the fuel pump.
Being the Titanium model, it comes with a generous helping of equipment, but thankfully without descending into needless complication. The cabin is spacious, sensibly arranged, and?crucially?very comfortable. There?s ample room for passengers, and the elevated driving position gives you that slightly commanding view of the road without venturing into full SUV territory.
On the move, it behaves exactly as a Ford should: composed, predictable, and just engaging enough to remind you that driving doesn?t have to be a chore.
It?s not flashy, and it?s not trying to reinvent the wheel. It simply does everything you need, and does it rather well?which, when you think about it, is exactly the point.
