Description

First registered in Italy June 1991 and imported to the UK December 2016 Not the more common 2 litre; this is one of the less than 3000 (Junior 1600cc ) versions made by Alfa Romeo (AR) in the final S4 phase of the Spider LHD and as originally intended and designed by AR - there were no factory produced RHD S4 Spiders, just conversions from original LHD models Currently has 98,587 KM on clock - equivalent to approx. 61,000 Miles (may go up slightly as I may use it on sunny days) Recently serviced - 7th April 2026 (cost over 550) Also passed its MOT; valid to 18th April 2027 Road Tax rate is 360 for 12 months (in 5 years' time when 40 yrs old, this will be 0) 1600cc engine fitted with twin Dellorto carburettors; has old-style manual choke. Takes a short while to get warmed up, but engine is then very responsive and sounds great Wood Abarth steering wheel and wood Nardi gear knob Both front seats professionally reupholstered in leather in November 2022 at cost of 2,600 - they are exceptional! Four (4) new manufacturers recommended Pirelli Cinturato CN36 tyres fitted April 2023 (at 95,000 KM on clock) - cost just over 750 The gearbox was reconditioned/rebuilt and a new clutch installed by Bob Dove Motorsports (specialist) in January 2024 - cost of just under 1,900 Rear bumper replaced and professionally resprayed in April 2024 For the asking price I am including a black hard top (see photos) I have two folders containing the extensive receipts, invoices detailing all this work along with the usual service, ownership and MOT records I also have an S4 Workshop manual with various notes and updates in it about this specific car Please do check the UK MOT History for the car, although it will only show from January 2017 when it was registered in the UK For anyone who may be concerned about using a LHD car in the UK I can only say that it has not bothered me in the least. If you have driven hire cars abroad then you will probably already be familiar with the swap to the 'wrong seat'. I found it very easy to adjust to driving a LHD car in the UK and now it doesn't even register in my mind when swapping from RHD to LHD. The car is NOT in concours condition. There are some minor marks and blemishes which should be expected for a 35-year-old car. I am only selling as I am not using this car enough and recently purchased another car. Please feel free to ask questions, more information, photos etc and viewing obviously recommended. Car is in Witham, Essex
