A beautiful motor car even after 23 years, and looks particularly good in this colour - dark metallic blue referred to by MB as Tansanite Blue. I acquired the car in 2008 and it has been looked after carefully since then, initially by main dealers, then by a specialist Mercedes Benz independent. It has a full service history despite being little used over the last few years. The current MoT runs until June 2026. Two expensive weaknesses of these cars are the fuel tank, which has baffles that become loose, and the SPC brake pump which can fail. Both of these issues have been dealt with during my ownership. The roof mechanism works faultlessly. Unusually for a pre-2006 car, the SL350 is ULEZ compliant. This car even comes with a "Crit'air" sticker permitting use in France where environmental laws allow. This is a delightful car to drive, and I am parting with it only because I increasingly need four seats.
