The 987 Cayman S with a manual gearbox and hydraulic steering is widely regarded as one of the finest driving experiences Porsche has ever produced, and it lives up to that reputation on a good B-road. Recent work, in addition to full service history: - IMS bearing and rear main seal replaced - New front coil springs - New front top strut mounts and bearings - New throttle solenoids - New exhaust bolts - New rear types The IMS and RMS work in particular represents significant peace of mind for a buyer these are the jobs many 987 owners have hanging over them. Condition: the car drives smoothly and is in good condition for its age, with the cosmetic wear you'd expect. I want to be upfront about two minor issues I'm leaving for the new owner rather than rushing a fix before the sale: 1. Interior screen currently showing white, though it does intermittently display the reversing camera and media console, suggesting a wiring connection rather than a failed screen. 2. 'Check reversing lights' warning present on the dash (see photos); from my research this is typically cleared at a routine service. Neither affects the drive, and both should be straightforward for a new owner to resolve properly. Last MOT completed in Nov-25 and last service completed in Dec-25. Why buy this one? The mid-engine layout, manual box, and hydraulic steering make this the driver's choice later models moved to electric steering and lost some of that connection.
