The DSG automatic gearbox makes it effortless to drive day-to-day, while still delivering the performance the Golf R is known for. The car pulls strongly through all gears and drives exactly as it should, with no issues. The car has been well looked after in the time I have had it, such as almost exclusively used premium fuels and higher spec tyres, I've always allowed to warm up properly before driving and never driven hard until the oil reached optimal temperature (~80C). This careful ownership is reflected in how well the car drives, with no issues over the 50,000 miles I've owned it.
