Description
If you're looking at this ad, you'll already know what a V70R is. There might be others that have been imported more recently than mine but I've owned this for 4 years and I've made it as good as it can be so there'll be no surprises for you. I'll list what I've done below
Full service immediately after I bought it - Oil, air, fuel, pollen filters. Spark plugs and timing belt with water pump.
All 4 adaptive dampers have been replaced - very expensive and hard to come by.
Automatic gearbox flushed.
Haldex oil and filter replaced.
Front and rear brake discs and pads all replaced about a year ago.
Stainless steel cat back exhaust. Still has resonator this was done for longevity not to make it loud.
I have 2 sets of genuine wheels. All 8 have been powder coated and then fitted with 4 new Goodyear summer tyres and 4 new Goodyear winters.
I've wired in a discreet cable so you can mount your phone, plug it in and it'll charge and play music and you can still use the steering wheel volume and skip buttons.
I have a set of genuine cross bars to fit this roof without rails.
Serviced every year despite me not doing many miles. It has been my only car, I walk to work during the week and only use this at weekends hence why the yearly mileage isn't much. I've only ever put E5 97 or 99 petrol in it and I never start it for short journeys. This is the car I've owned for the longest but after 4 years it's just time for a change.
Only negatives are I've never bothered to change the dash so it's still Japanese and in kmh but I quickly got used to that. I did ask my local Volvo garage but they didn't have a clue. You can buy the software and a Volvo connector but it never bothered me enough. You'll see in the photos I think someone must have opened their door into mine and now the paint chip has started peeling the lacquer. There's one other spot like that under a fog light and the paint has come off the bars that are part of the intercooler. All very minor considering it's 22 years old.
Thanks for looking
