This car is a great example of a lexus convertible and a great choice for luxurious motoring. The 4.3 V8 is powerful, smooth, and gives 25mpg. I bought the car three years ago and it's had extensive recommissioning by a specialist Toyota mechanic with a 5* rating. The car is currently located near Weston Super Mare, 10 mins from M5. I've run out of room due to buying too many rare Toyotas, so sadly this one has to find a new home. The car is near-silent with the roof up and can cruise at 70mph with roof down, with little wind noise. It's both refined and powerful, but is really easy to drive and frankly is much better than my new BMW 330. There has been extensive recommissioning work over the last two years, including full rust proofing. The underside and bodywork are in better condition than most 430s, there's a few scratches and dings, the usual stuff you get from supermarket car parks. Key work includes: - full recommissioning by Dave Flew Automotive - timing belt - gear box oil - underside clean and lanoguard - ceramic coat to paint - new suspension - wheel trims removed, greased and refitted. This is a major expense as they always seize up due to mix of aluminium and steel wheels. Be wary of buying an SC430 which hasn't had this work carried out. The roof mechanism is perfect and 100 percent smooth, I can supply a video to confirm if needed. The car can be viewed by appointment only, at Dave's workshop.
