Sadly, it's time for a change... Whilst I love driving this superb car, it is only really used at weekends, and I fancy something manual, rear-wheel drive and probably with only two seats. Yeah, it's mid-life crisis time (again)! Car has all the desirable options, that originally drew me to it: - Heated leather seats - Dynaudio - Dynamic chassis control (DCC) - 19" Pretorias - Rear parking camera I have also added a couple of mods: - Integrated Engineering (IE) cold air intake, which sounds incredible! - I still have the original that'll be included. - I changed the cable behind the button to allow the state of auto-start/stop to be remembered, otherwise it reverts to being on. I find it annoying and the consensus seems to be that it's not great for turbo-charged engines, especially when not up to temperature. And a software tweak with ODBeleven: - Disabled Soundaktor (fake engine noises) since I hated them I've never revved the car hard until the oil temperature is up to 90 degrees, and always give it a minute from a fresh start for the oil to get circulating and the revs to drop. Only ever run on premium high octane fuel, as required by VW. Fresh MOT. One advisory on slight leakage from one of the front shocks, which my garage convinced me to leave until becomes a problem, and say every VW gets this apparently. This is reflected in the asking price, since will want doing at some point. As you may know, the service history for VWs in held online in a system called Erwin, that for some bizarre reason the owner of the car or other members of the public cannot access! I have notes on what was done when, and receipts for everything I have had done to the car: 2018-12: 17995 - Oil 2019-06: 26733 - Inspection + oil 2020-07: 35845 - Inspection + oil 2021-01: 40743 - Haldex service 2021-07: 45543 - Dust filter, plugs and air filter 2021-11: 48429 - Gearbox service 2024-07: 55981 - Inspection + oil 2024-09: 60890 - Inspection + oil 2025-09: 64853 - Dust filter + oil My garage tried many times to get the last one into Erwin, but it's a pain apparently. I have the invoice for it though and they have raised a support ticket with them to hopefully get it sorted. When I first bought the car in Sept 2024 I put 4 new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres on it (so have only done 5k miles) and then the water pump and thermostat housing failed a month or so afterwards for a nice bill (at 61k)! Oh, and the air-con was re-gassed just under a year ago (at 64k). Cheers!
