Description
I'm putting up for sale my 2008 Audi TT, it's a tough choice and I most likely wouldn't be selling it if I lived closer to work, but ultimately decided to buy a diesel Citroen C4 as a cheaper daily commuter considering I do 40 miles daily. I'm it's 4th owner and its been completely reliable for me since I bought it 2 years ago with the exception of some fuelling issues I've addressed this calendar year. During my ownership it's done mostly motorway miles, with the exception of some backroads on some weekends and the usual grocery runs. I really do hope this car falls into the hands of a caring owner that gets as much enjoyment out of it as I did. Despite what you may think, this car is very practical for 1 to 2 people, I've managed to fit 4 people in it once but it wasn't pretty :)))) The boot is surprisingly spacious and the mpg is actually pretty good for a sports car when driven sensibly (Expect it somewhere in the 30s).
Pros: 13 Service Stamps, last one 31st May 2024 (I've personally serviced the car twice myself since then). Work done this year includes; new spark plugs, fuel pump, PCV, CV Boot and alignment. Compression test done last month and all within spec. Cam follower replaced last May roughly 10k miles ago. Cam belt and water pump done June 2024 (roughly 20k miles ago). 2 Keys. Health check performed by Audi Worcester earlier this year. 17mm front brake pads, 13mm rear brake pads, aka all good :)
Cons: Slow coolant leak (not noticeable during hotter months, though through winter months I have to top it up like once a month). Paint work isn't amazing. A slight rubbing noise when turning hard right. Can't unlock the car remotely, need to use physical key. One of the rear registration lights will fall out and dangle from time to time (Held in by magnets lol). Squeaky noise when its raining so could do with a new serpentine belt along with next service, which I'd recommend doing within 3-6 months from now.
I live in Worcester and work in Tewkesbury, I work from 9am to 5:30pm, I can pop out of work to show and sell the car no problem, just let me know the day before if you want to come see the car during my work hours. Strict rule for test drives is that I want to see some sort of proof of insurance, either your current insurance already allows you to drive other insured cars or get temp insurance, if not I'll just drive us around instead.
Feel free to call or text me for any more details or to arrange a viewing time :)
