Description

Full side converted camper with a pop-top roof. 2.0L petrol automatic. Low mileage at 69,516 miles (111,875 km). Nice condition. On a private plate (not personalised, so included with vehicle). One of the later built Bongos with an original manufacture date of 18 Sept 2004. Imported to the UK from Japan (right hand drive - like us) late 2020 and first UK registered Feb 2021. Underneath body work looks all good has been protected. No MOT findings or advisories in this regard since importation. Happy to lift onto stands for checks. Low coolant alarm fitted. The side and rear cabin windows are dark tinted with interior blinds (electric on the side). Top-hinged tail gate. Front side windows are electric with wind deflectors. It comes with nearly new silver/foam covers for the windscreen and front side windows for insulation and to block the light when sleeping. Company conversion to camper. The rear cabin seats have seat belts when upright and they unlock and pull out to form a bed i.e. "rock and roll" . Storage space in cupboards and under the rock and roll bed, with latches. 240v electric (from the campsite or home) can be plugged in and used in the van. It also has a "leisure" battery for the cabin (in addition to the normal "car" battery), for when campsite electric is not available. This is topped up when the engine is running or campsite electric is plugged in. It has a fridge and a two-burner gas hob, as well as a sink with an electric tap. There is a fire extinguisher and a dual smoke/CO alarm. The cabin floor is a nice "non-slip" surface. The radio has a touch screen (double din) on which apple car play and android can be used (e.g. for maps etc). An awning and a few other camping accessories included. Recent routine maintenance. October 2025 - brake fluid changed, rear diff oil changed, auto gearbox oil changed, engine coolant changed, also new rocker cover gasket fitted. March 2026 - engine oil and filter changed and MOT carried out. Bongos are very interesting vehicles of themselves. They were not used as such things as builders van workhorses before conversion to campers, but as passenger MPV's in Japan (where they apparently do not use salt on the roads in winter).
