One of the last series production run of MGB Roadsters made at Abington in March 1980. I am only the 4th owner from new and spend a long time looking for this one, but regretfully I now have to sell it. It is in its original paint colour, trim colour and hood colour from when it came off the production line. Hertitage Certificate matches all the details. Owned before me by a Chairman of a Regional MG owners club, it has had many many thousands of pounds spent over the years, the list is endless. It includes amongst others of new body panels and cills, Engine overhauls, new interior, new hood, new wheels and many many of the mechanical items too long to list. I have just had it fully serviced ready or sale. It has the original Passport to Service and a massive history file detailing all the money, time and attention paid to keep this in excellent condition. It also has the original number plate from the supplying dealer. It starts on the button, never letting me down during my ownership, drives extremely well and is tight, rattle free and smooth through the gears and throttle and brings a smile to the face. It also includes overdrive. It is watertight and a pleasure to drive. It has been garage stored during my ownership and the last. It has been showed over the years and taken part in European tours. It has a very comprehensive vehicle history file that few MGB,s will be able to match. Nice items include the Silverstone weekend event and badge from 1997 to which I recently went back to the Silverstone festival in 2025. It also attended the MG Heritage Festival in 2009 at Royal Windsor. It is not concours but presents to a very very good standard and has no issues or faults of any kind to the best of my knowledge and I would have very confidence in this being a very reliable daily driver if so desired, currently requiring no work to the best of my knowledge. It is MOT and tax exempt. You might find ones a little bit cheaper but this is a very well sorted and reliable example with low ownership and comprehensive history file from new.
