Description
Being a VW enthusiast for 20+ years I spent a long time looking for the right van and this was it! I'm pleased to confirm it's had a good life with 3 former owners, full history, and it's been used as a leisure vehicle only. This really does show with no cheap paint jobs or interior refurbs, and 100% reliability during my ownership.
I've had fully converted vans previously and can honestly say for everyday use and weekend camping trips this combination has by far been the best. Retaining the kombi layout i.e. rear seats and load area allows you to comfortably seat 5 with space in the rear load area for anything and everything! For sleeping the pop top accommodates 2 children, with the rear load area the perfect size (only in an LWB) to accommodate 2 adults without the need to move the rear seats (we used a fold out double memory foam mattress).
The van is holding up very well for its age but it is not perfect. To bring it back to perfect condition the lower body work needs a few scratches and minor areas of paint sorting out. I also managed to dent the roof line (10p size) above the sliding door (ladders to a tent box!).
