Description
Exceptionally rare 1997 306 Cabriolet with genuine low mileage and full service history.
I've owned this car for just over two years and have looked after it extremely carefully, storing it away during winter etc. Everything works and is complete.
Good points:
- Was previously owned by the mother of a Peugeot executive, has wanted for nothing.
- Starts and drives first time without fail.
- Original working security pin pad.
- Electric roof works perfectly.
- Original stereo with working cassette deck and power aerial.
- Power steering.
- Air conditioning.
- Engine pulls sweet and has been been maintained.
- Good tyres.
- Very comprehensive service history, a whole file box full of paper work. Also the original purchase receipt, vehicle has full provenance.
- Both keys + security key + original dealer key ring.
- Original handbook.
- Full toolkit.
- Original dealer number plates.
- Full years clean MOT (as of 29th April 2026).
- No rust or corrosion.
- Original full set of Peugeot floor mats.
- Doesn't leak!
Things I have done during ownership:
- New timing belt, water pump and coolant.
- Full service including oil, spark plugs, air filter.
- New idle control valve.
- Upgraded lower engine mount to a poly bush (originals are prone to split).
- New drop links and lower front arms.
Not so good bits:
- Minor wear to driver seat bolster, it's not ripped just worn.
- A few parking dents and stone chips in places.
- Minor marks on alloys.
- Oil pressure gauge on dashboard gives an erratic reading, I have the replacement sensor just haven't fitted it.
- Slight degradation of outer A pillar frames, but every single 306 CC has this.
- Brakes are a bit squeaky but otherwise good, adding some copper slip to the carriers is on my list of things to do.
This is probably one of the rarest examples of this car. Only around 200 306cc's on the road and even less Phase 1's. This one has been completely unmodified and with its Peugeot provenance it really is something unique.
