Letting this project go as I don't have the time to finish it. This would be an excellent project for someone, could either fix and use for the summer, or sell on and make some profit, as convertibles only go up in price at this time of year. OPEN TO SENSIBLE OFFERS The bad bits. There is a G509 fault code for the gearbox, which is a faulty heat sensor in the mechatronic unit ( a company called ECU Testing reprogramme the mechatronic unit for around 550 ) this sometimes goes into limp mode for about a minute at most, with a warning on the dash, but then goes off. The rear left light has some of the LED's not working. All the functions work, brake, indicator and reverse lights, just the side light part which isn't fully functioning. This is a module in the boot of the car, about 150. This is a 16 year old car, so as such, isn't in showroom condition and does have age related marks around the car. Now the good bits. Has recently had a gearbox oil and filter service ( so you can save the oil when the mechatronic unit comes out ) Integrated Engineering induction kit, sounds great when accelerating, 2 new front tyres and brake discs recently fitted. Apple Carplay fitted to the factory screen, black mirror caps with dynamic indicators and black badges just fitted, honey combe grills also fitted. All usual S5 refinements, heated electric front seats, heated electric mirrors, leather interior, Bang & Olufsen sound system, electric roof, electric windows all round. The car drives very well, pulls smoothly through the gears without any clunking or jumping despite the faulty heat sensor. The roof works perfectly as do all the windows. Mileage will go up as using as my daily. Priced to sell taking into account work needed, as these cars are going up in price at this time of year. Grab yourself a bargain ready for summer
