Description

Sale includes a new Safari snorkel, a full set of new eyebrow mudguards and a new pair of Lynx Halo LED headlights, all still in their wrappers/boxes, plus an unused Exmoor Trim Bikini top (total cost ~900). Originally a pick-up, this Landy was converted to a soft-top by the previous owner who spent many thousands on it including fitting electric windows and a reversing camera together with an audio upgrade that has hands-free phone functionality. A few more K have been spent on it in my ownership including replacing the original hood and sticks with an Exmoor Trim heavy duty bar set and new tilt. Please see the final picture for a list of the major works by me and the previous owner. All exterior lights except the headlights and side repeaters have been converted to LED at some point (don't know which manufacturer) - as noted above, a pair of new Lynx Halo LED headlights are included in the sale. The private plate and 'ardcase' pedal lock are also included. It goes well, having been mapped at some point in its history (the previous owner didn't know which map is on it or to what stage), although it did not stop too well when I bought it in July last year so it had new front discs and new callipers all round in September. I bought it for green laning but my circumstances have changed and I no longer have the time at weekends - and I know the theory is that you can never have too many Defenders but for me two is too many so the Puma has to go. It's no concours winner but the paintwork is generally pretty good and it wears its many minor dings with pride. The vinyl seat covers were a bit worn (and searingly hot in summer!), hence the Exmoor Trim canvas seat covers. I have tried to show as many of its shortcomings as possible in the pictures (I can take more on request), but it's a good solid Defender that just needs to go to a new home where it will be used and abused as intended. It is MOT'd until December. Please note that the central locking function has been disabled at some point in the Landy's past (the previous owner did not have the fob) and that the trailer hitch electrics have not been used or tested during my ownership.
