The 1.5-litre i-MMD hybrid system is a clever bit of engineering, seamlessly shuffling between petrol and electric power in a way that feels less like a gimmick and more like common sense finally prevailing. It's smooth, economical, and dare I say surprisingly satisfying. Inside, it's exactly what you'd hope for: airy, intelligently laid out, and blessed with those wonderfully practical Magic Seats, which sound like something from a low-budget magician but are in fact genuinely useful. The Advance trim adds a touch of civility without descending into needless extravagance. Driving it won't rearrange your internal organs, nor will it encourage antisocial behaviour, and that is rather the point. It is calm, composed, and deeply rational. In short, it's not trying to be exciting it's trying to be good. And in that respect, it succeeds admirably.
