If you are looking at this advert then you know how much of a unicorn this car is. They hardly ever come up for sale, at the time of listing this there are none for sale (anywhere ... and I mean anywhere, Japan, US etc). The EF9 SIR holds a special place in the Honda world as it's the reason all "hot" Honda hatches exist. It's the blue print for every Honda hot hatch that followed. Comes with the legendary B16B EK9 Type R engine. The car is completely rust free and original in the sense that it has never been welded or had replacement panels. A solid and original shell. The paintwork however leaves alot to be desired, it has clearly been enjoyed as a fast road/track car at some point. It's very much period correct for 80's/90's Japan. The engine is healthy with strong compression and the gearbox is nice and tight, mechanically it's very good.
