Description

2003 Jaguar XK8 4.2 V8 Convertible (Black) - Automatic - HPI clear - 2 keys - Fresh 12 Months MOT - Private plate included in sale If you're looking for an old-school, classic V8 Jag - the kind that feels special the moment you drive it - this one delivers. Everyone who drives it comments on how beautifully it drives, and they're absolutely right. Why this XK8 is a good one: - Later 4.2 V8 (commonly viewed as the more desirable version vs early 4.0s) - Drives beautifully - smooth, strong, exactly how an XK should feel - Always serviced when needed - service history/paperwork included - 4 nearly-new tyres (around 2,500 miles; approx 1,000 pounds spent) - Wheels recently refurbished - Machine polished - the black paintwork has been brought back to life - New chrome number plate holder - Nice extras: aluminium racing pedals, halogen headlight conversion, upgraded rear lights - (Previous owner mentioned "Aston Martin" parts - not sure exactly what.) - it comes with an RAC clear report showing no issues and drives without fault. - CD player + radio working The car presents really well and drives properly, and I've priced it with three honest quirks already taken into account - so the next owner can either enjoy it as-is, or take it to the next level. 1) Seats/interior and the convertible roof would benefit from a tidy-up. I've been quoted 700 by a trimmer in Leicester to bring back to "perfect". 2) Occasional seatbelt warning light flicker, seems to be an intermittent sensor issue. 3) The driver-side door card/upper trim is slightly loose/detached at the top edge. It's purely a tidy-up/refit job if you want everything sitting absolutely flush. These are reflected in the price - I've priced it ~1,000 cheaper to cover fixing them. I'm also adding a fresh 12 months MOT, covering any significant advisories in advance (if any). You're buying with the usual "older car" MOT risk taken off the table. For anyone who likes a comparison: the current Webuyanycar valuation (at the time of listing) is 4,405. She isn't perfect but she's a genuinely lovely XK8 and I think the price is very fair for a well-driving 4.2 convertible with recent spend, the private plate included, and a fresh MOT handled properly. I'm open to sensible offers, but the price will be fairly firm because it's already been adjusted to account for the bits you might choose to improve. Viewings welcome - if you know these cars, you'll know within the first few minutes of driving what it is.
