Description
I'm open to sensible offers - will seriously negotiate for a quick sale by the end of May.
I've owned this masterpiece for a year and it's been exactly what a Busso GT should be: something you take out when you want to feel the engine sing and power through any road you feed it, no compromises. I'm selling reluctantly, especially since these engines are becoming rarer than ever, but I have to focus on other things and life gets in the way.
Mechanically, this beast has been looked after wherever it counts:
- Timing belt and water pump done last year
- Clutch slave cylinder replaced
- Battery replaced last month
- Bilstein rear shocks
- Sill tidied up
- Aftermarket Ragazzon exhaust
- MOT until October
Most importantly, the car also spent part of its life in Spain, as extensive service history will show. Which was a big plus for me, since this means no rust concerns like many UK examples. Previous owner mentioned it has a Q2 differential; I don't have paperwork to confirm it, so take that as unverified but possible.
Condition-wise, it's an honest car rather than a showpiece. The bodywork is perfectly presentable (though not immaculate) and it still commands its presence in a car park, even with the caliper paint faded. The interior is generally tidy aside from some sagging on the passenger door card liner and imperfections here and there, as you would expect from a 21 year old vehicle with 120k miles on the clock. Alloys on the other hand are in relatively good state.
A couple of things to be aware of, just to be transparent:
- ABS light can be intermittent (one sensor replaced; occasionally comes on but clears after restarting the car)
- Recently started being a bit stubborn going into gear with the engine running (selects gears perfectly when off
- Rear parking don't work (it never bothered me, not many do at this age)
The car can absolutely be driven and I'm continuing to do so every day, and it will churn miles to no end, so no issues there. Having said that, this isn't a garage queen. It's a properly used, enjoyed, sorted example that still delivers the full experience. If you're after something clinical, this won't be it. But if you want the best-sounding V6 ever engineered, put inside a road car capable of delivering the fantastic engaging drive which gave it its glory, it absolutely will be. It is a fantastic opportunity to own a rust-free Spanish chassis.
Happy to answer questions and send videos of exhaust note etc.
