Description
1967 Ford Mustang Coupe289, 4.7lt V8. Automatic.
ENGINE.
4.7lt V8, with hydraulic lifters. New parts fitted includes , Edelbock 50 cfm, 4 barreled carburettor on a street Warrior alloy inlet manifold, sports air filter, alloy rocker covers, CEI distributor and plug leads.
POWER STEERING.
Overhauled PAS with new parts and seals as necessary including a new pump, high and low pressure pipes and drive belt.
BRAKES.
New Disc brake conversion, front hub bearings. New servo including master cylinder ,diverter valve , servo pipe conversion. Metal brake pipes renewed where necessary.
CHASSIS &FLOOR.
Welded in new front floor panels, Chassis rails injected with Waxoyl. Inside floors and sills sealed and then sound proofed. Floors and chassis rails under sealed.
INTERIOR.
Instrument cluster removed, stripped, cleaned and needles repainted. New dash and Chrome facia. New steering wheel, headlining and carpet. Wiring loom cleaned to trace cables and label.
EXTERIOR.
New wiper arms, blades, washer jets and reservoir. Some micro blistering and a couple of bigger blisters. A few touched areas because of chips gained from it's 8 years in my home garage.
HEATER.
Heater assemble removed, air inlet area inspected and resealed . Replaced heater box flap seals, heater matrix and heater pipes.
LIGHTS.
Headlamps H4 conversion, LED front and rear side lights. New rear lamp bezels.
WHEELS AND TYRES.
Wheels refurbished. Tyre treads good but some perishing on edges.
SPEEDO ETC,
Speedo not working although head worked when I had it out. Gearbox drive appears to be turning so maybe a cable fault.
Exhaust downpipes corroding. Seat covers splitting on seats causing gaps on front seat backs.
During the past 8 years, I have spent a lot of time and money on my Mustang and now it needs a new enthusiast to take over and carry on with the refurbishment . One hundred + pictures of refurbishment available plus
