I have owned the car for nearly 5 years and have grown very fond of the thing. It is incredibly reliable and wonderfully economical (returns 60+ mpg on a run with ease, and 50+ mpg in urban areas) servicing and maintenance costs are low and it rarely wants for anything to be fixed. I had planned on keeping this car indefinitely, however a family member is giving me a car, which I cannot refuse, therefore the Golf is for sale. I purchased this vehicle in 2022 from an independent specialist who was selling it on behalf of a customer. It's a 2012 (the final year of the MK6) on 131000 (will rise slightly until sold). FULL SERVICE HISTORY - This was why I bought the car, it has been well cared for throughout its life by myself and the 2 previous owners. The car has heated leathers. I have installed an after-market head unit from Eonon which has Carplay/Android Auto, as well as a DAB and an OEM USB input. It has 4 matching Yokohama tyres with lots of life left (the fronts were replaced last year). The car will come with the roof bars if you want them. It had it's cambelt and water pump service in 2024 at 116k miles (this will not need doing until 2029 or 216k miles). A couple of small age-related quirks that have never bothered me enough to fix: The driver's side window control for the passenger side no longer works for the auto up down function - it still works if you hold it down The car is far from cosmetically perfect - it is 16 years old; it has a light scratch/Small Dent/Stone Chip on most panels - it cleans up really well and isn't noticeable unless you're looking for it. I've included photos of all the main issues. Its mechanical condition is excellent though.
