Description
NONE RUNNER
Unfortunately selling this Jaguar X-Type due to a diesel runaway. We have stripped the engine down, did a compression test on each glowplug housing with an average reading of 160psi which means the runaway has caused suspected damage to internal engine components, possibly pistons.
The diesel runaway was triggered by spraying turbo cleaner into the air inlet for the turbo (which is a recommended treatment for a sticking turbo). It wasn't a full runaway in terms of there is still optimal oil level in the engine but the runaway lasted for 10-15 seconds which was enough to damage internal engine components
This Jaguar either needs a engine rebuild or a new engine so before its sent off to scrap, me and my Dad were hoping someone with the ability to fix this car would take it because it seems a waste to throw it away. The car is in good condition, body work has some damage but the interior is in very good condition. We recently had the tracking done, wheels resprayed and new performance tyres, we had a new clutch when we got it
Will require collection as it's a none runner
