Trade/ part exchange clearance Up for sale s the 2012 Volkswagen Passat Estate Automatic it’s done 150900 miles has just been serviced and has a fresh mot. The only advisory’s are for 2 tyres being worn on the outer edges. The car came back into me in part exchange it previously belonged to a friend of mine for the last nearly 6 years and I sold him this car at that time. The cars priced as a trade sale so this is because I can not retail a car with this mileage, so no warranty is given or implied it’s a trade sale only. The cars its self drives lovely, there are no warning lights on the car and the gear box is super smooth. On start up there is a slight dual mass rattle but there is no vibration through the car at all and as stated it drives perfectly after start up the noise fades and goes and you don’t hear it again. The above I’d say is to be expected on a 14 year old car with 150k. It’s definitely not something I’d bother doing if it was a car I was using as a runner and I’d be happy to jump in it and drive it anywhere. Or alternatively if you wanted to replace it you have the margin to do so with the car being priced the way it is. There are two areas of paint damage one on the rear bumper corner and the other is that the paint work on the bonnet in the centre has gone flat. It might well polish back up with a good machine cut and polish. The cars priced to sell, no offers no part exchanges it’s a trade sale only.
