Description

MG TF 135 80th Anniversary Edition No. 1249 of 1600 produced globally and one of only a handful of Pearl Black examples still on the UK roads. One of just 500 UK-market 80th Anniversary cars produced across Pearl Black, Goodwood Green and Starlight Silver. A rare, well-maintained and highly original car presented in exceptional condition throughout. Registered May 2004 with just 55,300 miles from new (approx. 2,500 miles per year), always garaged, rust free and boasting excellent paintwork. MOT until August 2026 with no advisories at the last test in August 2025, supported by a strong MOT history available online. The car has had 6 former owners, including Trophy Cars, with their number plates still fitted. It comes with a working factory immobiliser, spare key and fob, plus 4 matching Hankook tyres with low mileage use. Major refurbishment work in 2019 included: New black hood Front suspension refresh Replacement water pipes Further major maintenance completed in December 2023* included: Cambelt and water pump New head gasket and cylinder liners New battery Isolation switch for winter storage Major service *The car has covered just 1600 miles since this work was completed. The car is accompanied by extensive paperwork and receipts covering ongoing maintenance including rear O2 sensor, front brakes/discs, inlet and exhaust manifold gaskets, alloy wheel MG caps, oil servicing and general upkeep. Oil remains fresh and clean and the refurbished alloy wheels are in excellent condition. The underside is clean and solid, with additional zinc primer protection applied in areas. Recent improvements include: May 2026: New coolant expansion tank cap (plus two spare caps included) April 2026: Pipercross performance panel filter fitted in the original airbox for improved airflow and throttle response, plus new engine cover bolts and hose clips February 2026: Genuine MG driver/passenger mats and MGOC seat lowering springs fitted for improved driving position August 2025: New MG front mudflaps, matching new rear mudflaps included unfitted, plus new tonneau cover supplied by Rimmer Bros Only minor fault: the passenger electric window can occasionally be slightly sticky when closing, although it functions correctly. Freshly valeted, garaged and ready to enjoy. Selling only to make room for another vehicle. "A rare and characterful British roadster offering sharp handling, lively mid-engine balance and classic open-top driving charm"
