Description

*** If this Ad is live the car is still available. *** For sale - a 2003 BMW Z4 E85 in metallic sapphire black. Ultra low mileage - 29,572 miles! 2.5 Litre, 6 cylinder, naturally aspirated engine. 5 Speed manual gearbox. The car has been much loved and enjoyed over my ownership, and well looked after by myself and it's 2 previous owners, all preferring to drive the car on dry days only. The car has been garaged most of its life, as such, the underside is in excellent condition. Drives superbly: the smooth straight-six engine is a joy to listen to and pulls strongly with slick gear changes. Both the clutch and the brakes are excellent. Overall, the car is in very good condition for it's almost 23 years - the body is solid with no rust. The roof operates perfectly up and down and locks securely at both ends. Run-flat tyres (good tread, but firmer ride). MOT valid until 14/08/2026. Comes with two keys, a brochure from Hollybrook Sports Cars (prestige dealer who supplied last owner), a vehicle check report (March 2025), MOT certificates, 11 service stamps, mechanic's receipts, and mileage history checks. Reluctant sale -- only selling as I need a more practical daily. Minor issues: * Yellow bulb warning light on dash when dipped beams are on. MOT tester saw it but confirmed all lights function correctly and passed with no advisories. No actual bulb failure - common sensitive monitoring on E85s. No impact on driving/safety * Passenger door window switch not functioning, however the window operates perfectly from driver's side master switch and also auto-drops with roof operation switch. Common E85 switch quirk, easy/cheap replacement. No impact on usability/safety. * Intermittent charging system warning light on dash (appears rarely, after long idle periods). Had it checked by mechanics twice, alternator and battery charging fine (good voltage). Never affects starting or driving. Likely minor voltage dip from roof operation after car has been sitting a while (common E85 quirk). * Slow passenger footwell leak after heavy rain (classic door membrane issue). Only seems to happen when the passenger side is highest on the driveway. Easy fix for a specialist or enthusiast who knows these cars. Car is located in Newcastle, Co. Down, N. Ireland, a 40 min drive from Belfast City Airport and Belfast Ferry Terminal. *** If you wish to view the car please let me know 2 or 3 days in advance. Thanks. ***
