This is a fantastic example of a lotus Elan 1.6 SE Turbo, that has an unbelievable service file with receipts for thousands and thousands over the years. The car has been owned by 3 Lotus enthusiasts (at the very least )over its life and has been meticulously cared for! It has had the upgraded brakes, upgraded radiator and has had the Everest chip installed which improves the brake horsepower to 200+. I've tried to capture and illustrate the extensive service history which really is too much to describe, but it's fair to say it's exceptional! I had a full professional respray done on the car approximately three years ago, which cost many thousands and the car now looks absolutely amazing! I also had the seats professionally re-Collinsoned, which included removal and upgrades to seat springs, fittings and of course full leather reconditioning as you can see in the pictures. The Cam belt was done circa 98k miles, full service, alternator, brake upgrades, have all been done in the last couple of years or so and the car drives fantastically. Even though the car has been dry stored, away from my house, Ive had it professionally Lanoguarded. In my ownership, I've replaced nearly all of the seals on the roof, refurbished the usual window slider parts (and issues that follow it). I do have a couple of jobs to do which include putting a new front spoiler lip on the car, proving the roof elastics And completing door fittings. None of these are big jobs and will be done before sale. When I had the car professionally re-sprayed obviously the external badges had to be removed which I have not yet added back to the car but still have in my possession The car is 35 years old and is a hand built fibreglass body weighing less than 100kg, it is regarded as being one of the best front wheel cars ever made! It is a real head Turner and people give compliments wherever you take it! My reason for sale is that I am simply not using it and have barely put any miles on it in the last few years
