Description
This lovely Saab was first registered in 1993 and during the past 33 years it has had 9 keepers. There is a large folder of document history including MOT's services and repair invoices.
The car is MOT'd until October 2026 (with no advisories) - the MOT history (which can be verified at WWW.gov.uk) reflects the providence of the mileage and the care afforded the car during its life. It is sound and free from rot.
It starts first time every time. The heater is excellent.
In 2013 a new hood was fitted.
In 2024 the car underwent an extensive bare metal respray to the bonnet and the boot lid by a Classic car restoration company, the side panels were also resprayed and polished as evidenced by the numerous photographs taken during the work.
Internally, the grey leather seats are slightly faded but undamaged. The dash board - switches and controls etc are all good, the electric retracting hood and electric windows are all in good working order. There is a dark stain on the driver side carpet but a mat covers it.
Externally there is a superficial scuff on the front offside bumper.
The car has a genuine Saab wind deflector which provides a calm airflow in the cabin with the roof down.
It's fitted with four Michelin tyres which are in good condition.
The car drives as it should with no mechanical issues, the engine and gearbox run smoothly. It's a car you can use everyday.
It's not a show standard car, however, it is in very good condition and a joy to use, it's appreciated and admired every time its seen on the road.
There are cheaper old Saab's for sale, and a check of their history would usually reveal a neglected old dog that requires a serious input of time and cash to bring it back up to standard, which is ok if you're looking for a project.
This is a car that can be driven away and enjoyed now.
Its always stored in my garage and covered.
