Description

I bought this as a car to keep for a long time. However, I have since gotten an EV on a work scheme and already have an E92 M3, so I cannot justify keeping it, as it sadly just sits most of the time. I've done a lot of preventative maintenance, so the mileage shouldn't be a concern (and it's an N52 anyway). Some was done by myself with parts invoices as proof, other parts by garages, also with invoices. All parts were sourced from BMW, any I couldn't find were sourced from OEM's. The following work has been done: The AC evaporator, heater matrix, blower motor as well as the entire housing were replaced at a BMW dealer due to the evaporator failing. This is a big job as the entire dash has to come out, so it was warrantied by the dealer, but there were no issues. Both the in-tank fuel pump assembly and pressure regulator. Intake manifold gaskets, PCV oil separator and both hoses. Knock sensors. Both DISA valves. Power steering pump, pulley, upper hose and reservoir. New Serpentine belt. New Eccentric Shaft sensor with new Valve Cover Gasket and bolts. New AC line and recharge were done in May last year. New rear disks, pads and handbrake kit done within 3k miles. Four new Michelin Pilot Sport 5's with only 2-3k miles. I also have 4 nearly new Michelin Cross Climates with 1k miles on them that can be included for extra. The previous owner used it as a work car to travel to different offices around the country, so most of the mileage is motorway mileage. He had the plugs and coils replaced, as well as the shock absorbers, springs and several other suspension components. Having looked at the air intake runners, they are spotless with no carbon build-up like you get with the N53. The valve train was also nice and clean, no sludge. I do have some parts that I have not fitted yet but will be included with the car. I have everything needed to rebuild the shift linkage. There is nothing wrong with it, I just thought it would be nice for it to feel like new. I also have an aluminium replacement for the Mickey Mouse coolant flange, as well as new bolts and gasket for the oil filter housing. The oil filter housing has no leaks, so I have not fitted them yet. As you can hopefully tell, I truly did think I would have this car for a long time and would rather keep it. In terms of issues, the headlights get some condensation when pressure washing and there is an intermittent eccentric shaft sensor code, but the BMW dealer could not find any issues and it drives great.
