Description
I am regretfully selling my beautiful 1988 BMW E30 325i cabriolet.
I have owned the car for 10 years, in which time I have spent a good deal of time and money keeping it in the condition it is. It is only driven in dry weather, garaged through the winter, and only filled with E5 premium fuel.
It has always been well maintained and serviced, using OEM parts, either by myself, by a BMW specialist, or by a Classic Car specialist in Birmingham.
F247 OLP was originally supplied by Birds of Gerrard's Cross, the first owner being a director of Goldman Sachs Bank. After much searching, I purchased it in 2016 from a private collection.
This particular E30 is a rare find, in BMW special order Malachite Green with Beige Leather seats and original Basket Weave alloy wheels. Having the best engine and gearbox combination, it was one of the last to wear Chrome Bumpers, and amongst the first to sport Disc Brakes all round.
Recent mechanical works include:
2026
MOT with No advisories
New Cambelt
New Water pump
Service
2024
Brake pads and discs X4
New tyres X4
Underseal
It is a 38 year old car (soon to be tax and ULEZ exempt) and as such is not perfect.
There are a couple of small areas of rust just starting to show, mainly on the rear wheel arch corner, but it would not be a difficult job to put right.
A few cm of seam on the top of one rear seat needs to be re-stitched.
The dash board has a few cracks (a very common E30 issue) owing to the car enjoying being driven in the sunshine for nearly 40 years!
In summary, if you are looking for a BMW E30, this is the one to own. They are becoming increasingly hard to come by in this very original and solid condition, and as an investment, it's value will rise accordingly.
The car is at home near Solihull, please feel free to contact me for any further information, or to arrange a viewing.
