Description
This Jimny has been a family runaround for six years. There's service history going back to 2017 showing yearly servicing. Whilst mechanically sound with good engine, gearbox and clutch (and brand new battery), the car is now 22 years of age and is starting to need a little annual TLC to keep any underside rust from taking hold. Welding and chassis corrosion treatment were completed in December 2025 to a high standard and the car passed its MOT last December with no advisories.
MINOR ISSUES (Also see photos)
This Jimny could use a replacement tailgate - the door is slightly pushed in above the 'Jimny' badge. Also, the hydrolic arm which prevents the tailgate from over-extending when you open it is missing.
The rear passenger seat button, to fold down the seat is broken. There is a 'cheat' way to fold this seat down but it might be nice to replace the seat.
Both rear passenger seats have some rust under them which could use some TLC / attention.
The door sills have recently been treated and the under-boot compartment, which housed the jack and spanner, has been repaired where there had been rust issues. This compartment is now sealed and so can no longer house the jack.
The driver side wing mirror was recently replaced with one that is for the newer model Jimny. They look similar but the electric mirror is not currently connected due to having slightly different connectors.
