For sale is my 2010 Vauxhall Astra 1.4 petrol, 5-door hatchback in silver. A practical, economical and comfortable car that has served me well since I bought it in 2023. I have covered approximately 45,000 miles during my ownership, with the majority of those being motorway miles. The car drives very smoothly, starts well from cold, runs nicely once warm, and feels solid on the road. The steering is light, the gear changes are smooth, and it accelerates as expected for a 1.4 Astra. The car comes with cruise control, which works well, along with electric front windows and manual rear windows. It is a practical 5-door car with good space and has been reliable in my ownership. The car did not come with service history before I bought it, which I was initially cautious about, but I checked the MOT history carefully before purchasing and noticed the car hadn't done too many miles between MOT's and didn't fail on anything really bad. Since owning it, I have kept hold of service invoices, receipts and notes, and I have always aimed to resolve any issues promptly rather than leave them. Running costs have been very reasonable. At current fuel prices, it usually costs me around 60-65 pounds to fill the tank, and from a full tank I generally get around 550-600 miles, depending on driving. Please note, the car is not cosmetically perfect, and I want to be upfront about this. There are a couple of dents beneath the boot handle, and the front grille is cracked after someone bumped into it whilst I was parked, so this may be something the next owner chooses to replace. This is cosmetic and does not affect how the car drives. The two front tyres are likely due replacement soon, while the rear tyres are worn but still well within the legal limit. Overall, this is a smooth-running, practical and economical Astra that would make a good daily driver, commuter car or first car for someone who is happy to do a little exterior tidying.
