Hugely reluctant sale of my much loved MINI Cooper. I already know I'm going to regret it but its four seats are just not enough now my daughter is 12 and I need a car I'm not so precious about as I'm renovating my house. I've owned it for two years - key check shows it hasn't missed any services, I had the last scheduled one carried out in January at East Coast Garage (BMW & MINI specialist) and all MOT's completed with no advisories (next one due March 2027) Very little stop-start journeys in this car - it takes me to work (an hour away) where it sits for four days and brings me back home where it generally sits for most if not all of the next four except once or twice a year up North to see my family or for day trips out with my daughter and her pals, which as I say are a bit cramped. Fuelled up every time with BP Ultimate Diesel (I never buy supermarket fuel) it's the cheapest car to run I've ever owned. Twenty pounds a year road tax, fifteen pounds a month insurance and it's eligible to enter all the low emission zones. Absolutely lovely car to drive, a perfect car whether for someone young or old or who's just passed their test or indeed anyone who likes driving and spending very little on the pleasure. Looks beautiful in metallic blue and black and it really is in superb condition inside and out, just one tiny little dent just behind driver door handle (see last photo - I never did find out how this happened. It broke my heart and it still does!) it's hand washed religiously with two buckets every week and as my daughter would confirm, no food allowed inside..! Both keys fobs present and working.
